Two Coasties walk past broken windows, cracked bricks, a “No Loitering” sign, and litter: “Man, the Coast Guard always sticks us in the roughest, most run-down parts of town.” The next panel shows a scowling Navy sailor smoking under a “Join the Navy” poster: “We work on a Navy base.” “Exactly.”

The Coast Guard had some prime equipment back in the ’70s and ’80s. Unfortunately, we still have that same equipment today.
