We want people to feel at home here, so just like the top tech companies, we modeled this place after a college campus! / …which is why it’s just like the Coast Guard Academy! / Oh Lord / No privacy at your desks, no parking on base, random flooding, awkward run-ins with classmates, arbitrary uniform requirements, hallways like a dementor prison, asbestos probably, no awareness of what’s happening in the actual fleet, admirals in your business, no food options, the river is toxic, building like Escher made it, the nice entrance isn’t for you, sounds more prestigious than it is, the 3rd level is haunted / But I didn’t even go to the Academy! In fact, most of the people here didn’t. Why would you design a place that doesn’t respect the needs of the people who use it? / That’s the most Academy part of all!
