Three soldiers find a detergent pod with an orange-and-blue swirl resembling the Coast Guard racing stripe. One eats it, glows, and is engulfed in red and blue swirls, emerging as a Coastie. The others say, “It turned him into a Coastie.” “So that’s where they come from.”
